Workers is Georgia held an action of protest
The workers employed for construction of a hospital in Gurjaani held an action of protest demanding wage payment.
The workers state that the wage arrears makes 4 800 lari.
"The developer is "GPI holding". They hired a Turkish company which is carrying out the works. We were hired by director of "Andzhi Metalla" having a contract with this Turkish company. We have no written contract, they just took copies of our certificates of identity. We have been working here since October but we received 100 lari each only once", the participants of the action declared.
According to Emre Aidada, Director General of the Turkish company, the company is not in arrears before "Andzhi Metalla". "I am sorry but we have transferred the total sum and cannot be of any help to the workers, "Georgia Online" quotes Aidada.
