Rostov Region hosts rally against election results
In the city of Taganrog of the Rostov Region, about 500 representatives of branches of political parties and public movements held a rally against mass falsifications at the elections of deputies to the State Duma. This was reported by the press service of the Rostov Regional Branch of the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"All people, who attended the rally in Taganrog, were united by one thing: the recent elections to the State Duma appeared to be mostly fabricated, and, consequently, the election results were falsified. Speeches indicated the fact that only by uniting our efforts we could resist the unlawful regime of the ruling party. The rally participants condemned actions of the authorities and representatives of election commissions at all levels, declaring failure and the illegitimacy of the recent elections of deputies to the State Duma," stated the press service of the local branch of the Party.
Ivan Belyaev, the member of the territorial election commission of Taganrog with the advisory vote from the CPRF, argues that at voting and summarizing of the results of the elections held on December 4, the mass use of absentee ballots took place.
Lyubov Ovsienko, the representative of the public women's movement "Hope of Russia", spoke of violations prior to the election day. "The violations included bribery of voters by the ruling party and agitation, contrary to the electoral law," said the participant of the public movement.
