Suspected militants' helpers detained in Chechnya

Law enforcers of Chechnya have detained two persons in Grozny, suspected of assisting the members of illegal armed formation (IAFs).

"Both gave confessions that from November on they rendered assistance to IAF members by providing them with camouflage uniforms," said the spokesman of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

The suspects were detained during operative-search actions. They are a resident of the village of Bamut, Achkhoi-Martan District, born in 1992, and a resident of the village of Assinovskaya, Sunzha District, born in 1986, said the website of the Chechen MIA.

The names of the detainees are not reported; and so far there are no comments made by the suspects and their representatives.
