Prosecutor asks 9 and 5 years of prison for Magmadovs

In the Moscow Regional Court, at the trial of assistance to terrorism, the prosecution demands to deprive Apti and Aishat Magmadov of freedom for 9 and 5 years respectively. This was announced by Musa Khadisov, the defendants' advocate.

Apti and Aishat Magmadov were arrested by special FSB agents on January 19, 2010 in the Ramenskoye District near Moscow. They are accused of promoting terrorism and creation of illegal armed formations (IAFs). The court extended their custody till December 22, 2011.

"The today's session of the Moscow Regional Court has announced the end of the judicial process. Besides, the court has started the debates of the parties, during which the public prosecution asked for the imprisonment terms for the defendants," the lawyer told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, the final court session on this criminal case will be held on December 23; where the defence will be given the floor in the debates. Then, the court will retire for making the decision.
