Moscow prosecutors re-qualify Dmitry Putenikhin's indictment

On December 16, Inspector Alexei Petrechenko re-qualified the charge to Dmitry Putenikhin, an activist of "The Other Russia" from Article 296 of the Russian Criminal Code (a threat to an official) to Article 319 (public insult of a state official).

The new charge does not assume deprivation of freedom.

As reported by the press service of the Movement "The Other Russia", currently Mr Putenikhin is kept behind bars in Butyrskaya Prison.
