In South Ossetia, detained supporter of Alla Djioeva released on recognizance not to leave
Uyryzmag Dzutsev, a supporter of the former presidential candidate Alla Djioeva, was detained by the employees of the South-Ossetian General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) on suspicion of illegal possession of ammunition. Now, Mr Dzutsev is at large and at home under recognizance not to leave.
"During a search, a whole arsenal of ammunition was found in Dzutsev's house," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the GPO of South Ossetia.
The "Caucasian Knot" was informed about his detention by the readers by means of the SMS-service of the edition.
The GPO denies the reports that supporters of Alla Djioeva had been detained for political reasons.
Let us remind you that on December 6 two Djioeva's supporter were detained – David Djioev and Roman Besaev. Ammunition was found, when their residences were searched. According to their version, the ammunition remained after the events of August 2008.
"There is no political persecution; and the detention of these persons has nothing to do with their political views. They saw quite particular charges," said the GPO.
