Mozdok residents suspected of beating teenager because of his nationality
Investigators suspect two residents of the city of Mozdok in North Ossetia in beating of a 13-year-old Russian boy because of his nationality. According to the investigators, on that same day with an interval of 10 minutes, the teenager was twice attacked.
In December, the investigation against a 15-year-old resident of Mozdok on the fact of beating was completed. According to the press service of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) in North Ossetia, in the afternoon on September 16, in the area of Pobedy Street of the village of Kalininsky of the Mozdok District, the 15-year-old defendant, an ethnic Kumyk, met a stranger, a 13-year resident of the village of Terskaya.
"During a conversation with him, he learnt that the boy was an ethnic Russian. Then, the abuser, expressing his contempt for the Russians, hit the victim several times with his hands to the victim's face on motives of national hatred and inflicted beatings," the ICRF reports.
The investigators collected sufficient evidence, and the criminal case with the approved indictment was brought to the court for consideration on the merits, the official website of the ICRF in North Ossetia reports.
According to the ICRF, ten minutes before that incident, the same boy was beaten by 18-year resident of Mozdok. The criminal case under Article "Beating" was also instituted against the latter. However, the case is still under investigation, the website of the information and analytical centre "Sova" reports.
At present, the 18-year-old resident of Mozdok undergoes comprehensive psychological and psychiatric examination, the "FederalPress" reports.
