Twelve figurants in Nalchik attack case go on hunger strike
Today, at the trial on the attack on Nalchik, 12 other defendants went on hunger strike. They called "oppressions at SIZO (pre-trial prison)" as the reason.
"They stopped giving us fish; the meat they cook for us is of unknown origin, which is unacceptable for the believer. Tukhuzhev and Mironov were forcibly shaved and haircut; they had their beards out of their conviction; and it was their right," said Zaur Tokhov. The defendant Muhamed Urusov said that his prayer rug was confiscated.
Earlier the defendant Mironov went on hunger strike, explaining his decision by "the pressure at the SIZO."
