Head of a district of Volgograd region fined for sexual harassment
The court sentenced Head of Frolovsky district of Volgograd region to a fine of 100 thousand rubles acknowledging that he had forced his subordinates to sexual relationship threatening them with discharge.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that two subordinates of Alexander Orlov, Head of Frolovsky district, were acknowledged sufferers on the case. According to the investigation's version, from July, 2010, till February, 2011, Orlov using his official status forced the women working in the Administration to sexual relationship threatening them with discharge of other unwanted implications.
The court acknowledged Alexander Orlov guilty of compulsion of the aggrieved persons to actions of sexual nature. The official was sentenced to a fine of 100 thousand rubles and deprivation of the right to hold state of municipal self-government offices for a term of 2,5 years, regional web-site of Investigative Department of Committee of Inquiry of the Russian Federation reports.
On April, 1, upon the investigation's motion the court discharged Orlov from his office for the period of preliminary inquiry. The verdict has not come into effect yet and may be appealed against, Russian Agency of Legal and Juridical Information reports.
There are no comments from Orlov himself of his attorneys on the judgment yet. However, in process of investigation Alexander Orlov denied the fact of committing actions incriminated to him and stated that he was "slandered and crossed up" by his deputies.
