Suspects of blowing up "Neva-Express" train refuse to plead guilty at questioning in court

The Tver Regional Court, where the trial on blowing up the "Neva-Express" train in 2009 continues, has finished questioning all the ten defendants - natives of the village of Ekazhevo in the Republic of Ingushetia. None of them pled guilty.

According to Musa Pliev, the advocate of Tatarkhan Kartoev, one of the defendants, who was twice called up the ambulance to yesterday, on December 12, in the course of interrogation, none of the defendants have confessed of blowing up the "Neva-Express" train' and their testimonies had no discrepancies.

"Everything speaks in favour of their innocence, and first of all - the weak grounds of the indictment. Nothing follows out of it that could prompt to the motive of the crime. Any indictment should have an objective part of the offence - these are the motive, the time and the place. Here, we have no motive, no time and no place," Musa Pliev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, today, the health condition of Tatarkhan Kartoev is satisfactory. "However, the issue of his hospitalization is still on the agenda," said Pliev.
