Alla Djioeva to be nominated for presidential election in South Ossetia in March
Alla Djioeva, ex-candidate for the presidency in South Ossetia, intends to nominate herself for the election on March 25; she is ready to cooperate with Vadim Brovtsev, and she intends to seek the release of political prisoners. This was reported by Alla Djioeva to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"In the nearest future, we intend to report to the Acting President on the priority problems identified during the meetings with voters. Besides, we intend to demand the release of five political prisoners, kept in the territory of South Ossetia, and the people detained on political grounds in North Ossetia," said Alla Djioeva.
Eduard Kokoity, South Ossetian President, and Alla Djioeva, ex-presidential candidate, at night on December 10 have signed in Tskhinvali a compromise agreement to resolve the situation: Eduard Kokoity will resign, and Alla Djioeva will lead her supporters away from the main square of the capital. Earlier, Alla Djioeva has decided to abandon the inauguration ceremony scheduled for December 10.
