Ecological picket held in Krasnodar
On December 2, Krasnodar hosted a picket with a call to local residents to observe cleanliness and maintain healthy environment.
The action was coordinated with the city and held near a busy road junction.
As reported by Yuri Vlasov, the initiator of the picket and a member of the public organization "Ordinary People", the action with a call to cleanliness has caused a great response in local residents. "The picket was held in a very lively place, on the pavement beside the road, and most motorists, who were passing by, openly expressed their approval by signals, shouts 'Well done!' and welcoming gestures," he said.
The organization "Ordinary People" is not for the first time initiating actions in defence of the environment. Thus, in late November, they tried to organize pickets against destruction of urban green areas and change of the status of Karasun Lakes. However, the city Mayoralty refused to sanction the protest actions in the applied places on November 25.
