Maksharip Aushev’s father directed a statement to President of Russia

Magomed-Khaji, father of killed Ingush human rights activist Maksharip Aushev, sent an open letter to President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev. The reason for this appeal was unsanctioned searches which, according to Magomed-Khaji Aushev, started since September, this year.

“During the last two months (September, 25 – November, 25) some unknown special groups regularly came to us under different pretexts without producing the respective documents for the purpose of carrying out faultfinding searches”, the letter runs.

The “Caucasian Knot” correspondent contacted Maksharip Aushev.

“On November, 25, some camouflaged and masked people burst into our house. There were about 50 of them. Without producing any documents they carried out an unsanctioned search”, Aushev said.

According to Aushev, he had appealed to all the enforcement agencies to find out who the masked people coming for search were but in vain.

As of today, no comments were provided by members of power ministries in connection with Aushev’s appeal.
