Interrogation of the organizers of a mass meeting started in Dagestan

On November, 27, the personnel of Center of Counteraction to extremism of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Dagestan tried to summon for interrogation all the organizers of the meeting against arbitrary rule of law enforcement bodies held on November, 25, in Makhachkala. The “Caucasian Knot” correspondent received this information from representatives of organizing committee of the action.

According to resident of the settlement of Shamkhal Saadulla Abusupyanov, his people called him and said that the policemen had come. “They wanted to interrogate me as one of the participants of the meeting. I was out and my wife has just told me of the policemen’s arrival”, the source said.

Abbas Kebedov, co-chairman of civil movement “Territory of peace and accord”, member of Public Chamber of Dagestan, reported similar events. “In the morning they called me from the republican Ministry of Interior Affairs. They summoned me for interrogation as a participant of the meeting. I do not know what the policemen want though there is an information from reliable sources that the authorities of the republic issued an order to law enforcement bodies to call the organizers of the meeting to account”, Kebedov said.

Lawyer Zaiavdin Uvaisov also said that he had had a meeting with the personnel of law enforcement bodies.
