Victims of apartment house explosion in Stavropol are in extremely grave condition
Domestic gas explosion occurred on November 22 at a house in the city of Stavropol. The rescue team reported on five injured persons, two of whom were in grave condition.
According to Alexander Rybalko, the head of purulent surgery ward of the Second City Hospital, condition of two out of five victims of the explosion is estimated to be extremely grave; their burns are incompatible with life.
"Both victims – a man and a woman – have got deep burns, the prognosis is extremely poor – death," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Alexander Rybalko as saying.
"The domestic gas explosion in multi-storey apartment house occurred because of unauthorized connection of a gas stove to a portable gas cylinder committed by tenants of an apartment," reported the Office of Civil Defence and Emergencies of the Stavropol city administration.
Fire caused by the explosion was extinguished, the "Interfax" reports.
