Moscow city court sanctioned prolongation of arrest for the person accused of Budanov’s murder

Today Moscow city court refused to discharge from custody Magomed Suleimanov accused of murder of ex-colonel Yury Budanov. The court passed a standing judgment on prolongation of Suleimanov’s arrest till December, 10, dismissing the claim of defense.

At the end of August Presnensky court of Moscow arrested native of the Chechen Republic Magomed Suleimanov suspected of murder of ex-colonel Yury Budanov. On October, 3, the court acknowledged Suleimanov’s arrest lawful. On October, 25, Presnensky court of Moscow prolonged the term of Suleimanov’s arrest till December, 10.

“Acknowledge the decision of Presnensky court of preventive punishment for Suleimanov in form of custody till December, 10, valid, dismiss the claim of defense”, the verdict of Moscow city court runs.

The defense states that Suleimanov was detained earlier than officially announced, on August, 26. Therefore, the terms are calculated incorrectly and the detainee must have been already released. Besides, according to Murad Musaev, one of Suleimanov’s attorneys, his client at large will not hide himself from law enforcement bodies of put obstacles in the process of investigation because he has not done so before, Russian Agency of Legal and Juridical Information reports.

A representative of Public prosecutor’s office, in her turn, emphasized that Suleimanov was accused of committing an especially grave crime. Besides, a number of additional investigative actions were planned concerning him, “ITAR-TASS” reports.
