Girls in slippers will walk in Volgograd in protest against bad roads
On November 20, in Volgograd, a group of girls will hold an action "Roads-34" against the poor condition of city streets and sidewalks.
At one o'clock in the afternoon, a few dozen of young ladies-Volgograd residents will gather at the corner of 13th Guards Street and Lenin Avenue and march in a column to Port Said Street. The girls will be in slippers.
Margarita Kozlova, the initiator of the action, has explained that "in this manner, the 'weaker sex' wants to draw attention to the condition of inter-district roads and pavements in Volgograd." Many of them, according to her story, "are impassable in normal footwear," without danger of injury, the "AiF-Volgograd" reports.
The organizers plan to make a video of the action and then pass it over to road services, which will be invited with the aim to launch a dialogue, the edition named 'Pervaya Gazeta" reports.
