Power agents detain several persons in Shamkhal, local residents assert

In the township of Shamkhal, located in the Kirov District of Makhachkala, law enforcers have detained several persons, Shamsudin Magomedov, a local resident, reports.

According to Shamkhal residents, this morning the township was blocked by power agents, who were searching the houses.

"The house of my brother Maksud was visited by several armed men in camouflage. They conducted a search without witnesses, and allegedly found several rounds of ammunition and a grenade. They then took Maksud to the Kirov ROVD (District Interior Division). Now I am going there to find out the fate of my brother," Shamsudin Magomedov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the local Gazimagomed Gaziev, now the township is no longer blocked. Gaziev asserts that his house was also searched, and he was also summoned to the ROVD.

"Before lunch I wasn't at home at all. Policemen entered the house and behaved rudely. The searched the house and allegedly found four grenades and a submachine gun magazine. When I got home, I found a protocol with a demand for me to visit the ROVD. The weapons are not mine; they were surely planted," said Gazimagomed Gaziev.

The press service of the MIA of Dagestan and the on duty unit of the Kirov ROVD told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they had no information on these incidents.
