Meeting in Sukhum between members of Abkhazian People's Party and leaders of "Akhyatsa" social and political movement
Members of the Abkhazian People's Party met with leaders of the "Akhyatsa" social and political movement in Sukhum on January 12. They discussed their positions and priorities in their activity. Activists of both the sides expressed the opinion that there was no interaction between parties and social and political movements in Abkhazia as well as no common strategy of exerting influence upon internal processes in the state.
Participants exchanged opinions concerning the issues of introducing Abkhazian passports, the law on the elections for local government bodies, general and presidential elections.
Members of both the political organizations concurred that there was a need for frequent meetings, as well as a need for holding conferences with the participation of all the country's parties and movements.
