Public prosecutor's office in Kalmykia discovered "cemetery votes" on electoral lists
In five settlements of Yashkul district of Kalmykia names of persons who died long before, soldiers of statutory service and prisoners were found on the electoral lists.
District Public prosecutor's office discovered violations of electoral legislation in Yashkul, Gushan, Chilgir, Uttinsky and Ulanerinsky rural settlements.
"Dead people, citizens in statutory service in the Russian Army and those sentenced to serving penalty by the court were included into electoral lists", web-site of Public prosecutor's office of Kalmykia reports.
In addition to these violations, there was one more in Lagan district: local residents who returned home after serving their penalty, on the contrary, were not on the lists.
Not only heads of municipalities but also chiefs of penal colonies who must report about all those released in time were reprimanded for this violation, "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" reports.
