Sunzha district court of Ingushetia sentenced ex-chief accountant of production department of housing and communal service to three years of custody within the case of misappropriation of over 90 million rubles. This was an information from Department of Committee of Inquiry of Russia in the republic.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that in July, 2009, Salman Archkhoev, chief accountant of production department of housing and communal service (PDHCS) in Sunzha district of Ingushetia, was sentenced by the court to 6 years of custody conditionally and a fine of 50 thousand rubles within the framework of the case of misappropriation of over 90 million budget money.
However, Public prosecutor's office disagreed with the verdict of the court considering it too mild and appealed against it in the higher court.
"The court sentenced Archkhoev to a three-year's custody term in a general regime colony and a fine of 100 thousand rubles", web-site of Committee of Inquiry of Russia reports.
According to the investigation, in 2008 Salman Archkhoev holding the office of chief accountant of PDHCS in Sunzha district in cooperation with his boss and officials from the republican Ministry of Finance misappropriated over 93 million rubles, "Interfax" reports.
The misappropriated money was part of the sum of 115 million rubles transferred by the Ministry of Finance to PDHCS on compensation for benefits to some categories of local population: invalids of the Great Patriotic War, participants of accident elimination at Chernobyl nuclear power plant, veterans of labour, rehabilitated persons and also lodging and municipal service allowances to local population.
