Investigation discovered similarity between the murders of Budanov and the poet from Chechnya Akhtahanov
According to a source in law enforcement bodies, the same persons who had organized the murder of ex-colonel of the Russian army Yury Budanov may be involved in the murder of Chechen poet Ruslan Akhtahanov. Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that Ruslan Akhtahanov, a well-known Chechen cultural figure, member of Russian Union of Writers, laureate of Artem Borovik prize, was killed in Moscow about this midnight.
According to the source, the criminals' style of actions has much in common with the one of Budanov's killers. It cannot be ruled out that the same persons are involved in both crimes, "Interfax" reports.
The officer added that the version was being carefully studied by investigation operative group.
"In both cases the criminal used one and the same schedule: the assault was committed in a populous and illuminated place, practically in the center of the city. Several shots were made at the victim, including the one in his head. The ways of leaving the scene of murder with further destruction of the car were also identical", the source said.
It was reported earlier that the investigation was considering different versions of the murder, the first one was contract killing by order of paramilitary groups of Northern Caucasus.
Chechen poet Ruslan Akhtahanov will be buried in his patrimony, the settlement of Znamenskoe, Nadterechny district of Chechnya, RIA "Novosti" quotes a friend of the victims' family.
