Business lady Silva Ambartsumyan reported being beaten up by Governor of Siunik district of Armenia
Business lady Silvia Ambartsumyan in Armenia accused Governor of Siunik district Suren Khachatryan of beating her up in "Armenia Marriott Hotel".
According to the lady, the incident occurred in the hotel on November, 14. She states that she was at a party when Governor Suren Khachatryan saw her and "pounced on her without uttering a word".
"After a meeting with my foreign guests in the hotel I was in the foyer with my friends when Surik Khachatryan came up to me and silently struck me with his knee. When I tried to dodge a blow he struck me once again with his hand", "Armtoday.info" quotes Silvia Ambartsumyan.
Silvia Ambartsumyan declared that she would submit a statement to the police.
The woman associates the assault with the situation around "Lichkvaz-Teiy" mine. According to the business owner, Suren Khachatryan and Minister of Energy of Armenia Armen Movisisyan took the mine belonging to her away by illicit actions. Silvia Ambartsumyan also accused Governor of Siunik district of "stealing" equipment, "News.am" reports.
Security service of "Armenia Marriott Hotel" declared that no cases of beating were registered in the hotel on November, 14, "Panorama.am" informs.
Suren Khachatryan has not commented on the accusations against him yet.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that in August, 2009, oppositionists accused the bodyguards of Governer of Siunik district Suren Khachatryan of dispersal of a peaceful meeting on March, 1, 2008.
