Conflict with "Terek" FC completely settled, Spartak Gogniev asserts

Spartak Gogniev, a football player from the "Krasnodar" FC, who was injured during a match between the youth teams of the "Terek" and the "Krasnodar" FCs in the city of Grozny, declared no more claims against the Chechen club.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 4 the football match of the 30th round of the Championship of Russia on football among the youth teams of the "Krasnodar" and the "Terek" FCs had been interrupted on the 73rd minute with the score 0:3 in favour of the Krasnodar team because of a brawl between the players on the field. The "Krasnodar" FC claimed that their football player was beaten and demanded the "Terek" FC to find the guilty persons. The press service of the "Terek" FC claimed that Gogniev was an alleged initiator of the fight. On November 7 Gogniev underwent a surgery, on November 11 he was discharged from the hospital.

On November 12 representatives of the "Terek" FC headed by Said-Khusein Khamzatov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Chechen Republic in the Krasnodar Territory, met Gogniev.

"The conversation was long and difficult. I have accepted the apologies and I treat the conflict as completely reconciled. I also apologized for the emotions which guided me on the field and which made me say intolerable words against the players of the opposing team and against the referee who lost control over the game," Gogniev said and added that he said "nothing against the fans and the republic's leadership."

He expressed his hope that the unpleasant incident would be a good lesson for all parties, the official website of the "Krasnodar" FC reports.

"During the life, every person faces difficult challenges; however, I do not wish to continue unnecessary near-football intrigues that sideline the football sport itself. I wish the incident that occurred on that day in Grozny would never happen again," added Gogniev and stressed that he treated "the conflict as completely reconciled."

On November 13 Khaidar Alkhanov, Vice-President of the "Terek" FC, confirmed that the representatives of the Grozny FC met Spartak Gogniev.

"Our representative met him in Krasnodar. And Gogniev told him: "I regret it very much." I wish Gogniev tells all people in details: how he sees the situation, what has really happened, if he regrets it or not," the "Sovetsky Sport" (Soviet Sports) quotes Khaidar Alkhanov as saying.

On November 9 the meeting of the Russian Football Union (RFU) on the incident at the football match "Terek-Krasnodar" decided to pronounce a technical defeat of the youth team of the "Terek" FC with the score of 0:3. The decision of the Russian Football Union (RFU) was perceived ambiguously by fans and experts.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 5 Khaidar Alkhanov, Vice-President of the "Terek" FC, and Vladimir Khashig, General Director of the "Krasnodar" FC, issued a joint statement in which they expressed their regret over the incident. The Russian Ministry of the Internal Affairs (MIA) conducts the functional inspection of the conflict that occurred on November 4 during the football match between the youth teams of the "Terek" and the "Krasnodar" FCs in Grozny.
