NAC: leader of local militants killed in Kaspiisk

One of the persons killed in the city of Kaspiisk was identified as Magomed Djamaev, who led the grouping of Caspian militants. This was reported by the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC). According to the NAC, Islam Rashidov, the second deceased, was an active member of the grouping.

The 23-year-old native of Kaspiisk named "Mukhammad" was suspected of terror acts, arsons and shop shelling, attempts on life and murders of civilians and law enforcement agents, in particular, attempt on district police inspector in Kaspiisk in October 2011.

According to the NAC, Islam Rashidov, born in 1989, the second deceased, was an active participant of the "Caspian" grouping, the "Interfax" reports.

Parents of the blocked men participated in the negotiations; however, the men refused to leave the house, the RIA "Dagestan" reports with reference to a source in the law enforcement agencies of Dagestan.
