Tbilisi launches action "Plan your city budget"
The Tbilisi Mayoralty is holding an action named "Plan your city budget" with involvement of residents of the Georgian capital. The aim of the action is to define the priorities of the city budget for 2012 with account of residents' opinions.
Within the action, officials of the Mayoralty and the City Council – Sakrebulo – are meeting, on the daily basis, the population, listen to people's opinions and help them to fill in the questionnaires.
On November 11, the Mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava visited the family of one of Tbilisi residents and helped them to fill in the questionnaire, the "News-Georgia" reports with reference to the press service of the Mayoralty.
Apart from direct meetings with state bureaucrats, city residents may send messages to them. Special boxes were installed in all Tbilisi districts, where citizens may drop filled-in booklets with answers to questionnaire, highlighting the topical problems of the city. The questionnaire can be filled in also on the official website of the Mayoralty, the "Georgia Online" reports.
