"Rosaviatsiya" bans flights of "Dagestani Airlines" to Europe

On November 3, sanctions against the airline "Dagestani Airlines", banning flights to the EU, came into force. This was reported by a source in the "Rosaviatsiya" (Russian Federal Air Transport Agency).

Besides the "Dagestani Airlines", the ban of flights to Europe affected the airline "VIM-Avia", "Yakutia", and "Tatarstan".

According to the sources in the "Rosaviatsiya", the organization has played in advance. Today, the headquarters of the European Commission will discuss the results of inspections of all four Russian companies. The inspections were carried out in European airports and revealed violations in the carriers' work.

As a result, all four companies could face inclusion in the blacklist of airlines, which access to EU airspace is banned. Anticipatory sanctions will save the carriers from inclusion in the European stop-list, the newspaper "Vedomosti" reports with reference to the source in the "Rosaviatsiya".

All airlines operate domestic aircrafts; however, each of them has announced the renewal of aircraft fleet. According to the "Dagestani Airlines", during a year, the company will replace five "Tu-154" with five "A319", the "RBC" reports.
