"Russian March" in Rostov-on-Don, Stavropol and Pyatigorsk was over thousand persons strong

The participants of the "Russian March" had no problems in walking through the streets of Stavropol and Pyatigorsk; while Rostov-on-Don reports about detention of 30-70 participants of the unsanctioned action.

"Clashes with the police occurred in Rostov because the march was not officially sanctioned there. As a result, about 70 nationalists were detained," Dmitry Yager from the "National News Service" reports.

"In Rostov-on-Don, over 30 detainees were brought to the Lenin ROVD (District Interior Division)," the user with the nickname beekjuffer wrote on the official Livejournal of the "Russian March".

Let us note here that the authorities of Rostov-on-Don had twice rejected the organizers' application on holding the "Russian March" in the city, wrote the website of the Russian Public Movement.

Meanwhile, the announcement about the unsanctioned rally in Rostov-on-Don was placed on the pages of the "VKontakte" social network, in an informal closed group.

In the Stavropol Territory, the "Russian March" was officially sanctioned and took place in two cities. In Pyatigorsk, the action started at midday from the monument to General Ermolov, ended an hour later and passed without incidents. In Stavropol, the participants of the "Russian March" walked from General Ermolov Square to the monument "Soldier", the "Yuga" writes.

"The 'Russian March' was held in Stavropol without incidents. According to the organizers, there were about 600 participants," the official website of the "Russian March-2011" reports.

It should be noted that this year it was decided not to hold the "Russian March" in Adygea. Earlier it was organized in Maikop by the "Slavic Union of Adygea".

"This decision is not due to the fact that the local authorities refuse to sanction our mass action. We just don't see any sense in it, since it's ineffective," the "Yuga" quotes Vladimir Karataev, Chairman of the "Slavic Union of Adygea".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 4 the participants of the "Russian March" also walked along the streets of Moscow; their main slogan was "Stop feeding the Caucasus!"
