The classes are going under the patronage of the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin in Pyatigorsk.
The decision was taken within the framework of an agreement of interaction of Pyatigorsk and Circassian Eparchy and Directorate of Federal Migration Service (DFMS) of Russia in Stavropol region, web-site of regional DFMS reports.
At the ceremony of opening the courses Bishop of Pyatigorsk and Circassian Eparchy Theophylact emphasized that the Church had no purpose of religious education while opening the courses, they were meant for representatives of all the nations and ethnic groups residing and arriving in Stavropol region and wishing to learn Russian.
"The Russian Orthodox Church has assumed the commitment of financing organization and classes", web-site of STRC "Stavropolie" quotes Theophylact.
Alexander Boikov, Head of DFMS of Russia in Stavropol region, emphasized that the region had always been a territory of intensive migration processes.
