Residents of NCFD and SFD to present passports when buying intercity bus tickets
Residents of Southern Russia when buying intercity bus tickets will have to show their passports. On October 27, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development published on its website a draft of the appropriate order of the Ministry of Transports of the Russian Federation.
Let us remind you that in late September, the Russia Ministry of Transport has prepared a draft of the order with the list of regions which should complete automated centralized database of passengers' personal data when performing passengers' road transportation.
According to the draft order, residents of Adygea, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia, Chechnya, Rostov Region, and Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories will have to present their passports when buying tickets.
Furthermore, passengers of intercity buses from Moscow, Moscow Region, St Petersburg, Leningrad Region, and Tatarstan will have to show their passports.
According to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the draft order is subject to public consultation procedure, which was appointed for October 27-November 9 of this year, the web portal "Pravo.ru" reports.
Tightening of rules to buy intercity bus tickets has been preparing for a long time due to the fact that the people who had committed resonant terror acts reached Moscow namely by buses, the newspaper "Vedomosti" reports.
