Custody of four defendants in case on "Domodedovo" terror act extended by three months more
Four detainees in the case of an explosion at the Moscow Airport "Domodedovo" will remain in custody till January 24, 2012. This exact date will mark a year passed since the terror act committed by a suicide bomber.
"At the request of the investigation, the court extended the detention in custody for the defendants Bashir Khamkhoev, brothers Islam and Ilez Yandiev, and Akhmed Evloev. At present, the investigators work at strengthening evidence materials on the criminal case; they also plan to file a final charge to members of illegal armed formation," explained the officials from the Investigatory Committee of the Russian federation (ICRF).
Besides, let us remind you that the court issued in absentia a sanction for arrest of the leader of the militants in the North Caucasus Dokku Umarov. Indictment in absentia was charged to Aslan Byutukaev, who might have been murdered in Istanbul on September 16.
Depending on the role of each defendant, they will be charged of crimes under Articles of the Russian Criminal Code "terror act", "banditism", "participation in illegal armed formation", "illegal arms traffic", reports the website of the Russian IC.
