Seven medics get poisoned in Kalmykia
Seven employees of the Oncology Dispensary of Kalmykia were hospitalized in Elista with symptoms of food poisoning.
The website of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reports: "In the course of preliminary investigation it was established that last Friday the Elista Republic's Hospital received seven medics of the State Institution 'Kalmyk Republic's Oncology Dispensary' with symptoms of intoxication, hypotension and bradycardia."
They got poisoned on October 21, but this became known only today. Investigators and "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russian Federal Agency for Consumer Supervision) experts confiscated their food and sent it to examination, the "RIA Novosti" reports.
According to preliminary data, the reasons of poisoning could be in low-quality food products or in breaking the sanitary and epidemiological rules of cooking, the "Interfax" writes.
