Moscow hosts rally under the motto "Stop feeding Caucasus!"
Today in the afternoon, a rally is held in central Moscow, in Bolotnaya Square, within the campaign declared by nationalists "Stop feeding Caucasus!"
The campaigners call on the authorities to stop the disproportionate, in their opinion, donations to the North-Caucasian republics of Russia.
The well-known blogger-thousander (visited by thousands daily) Alexei Navalny wrote in his Livejournal that the rally was sanctioned by the city authorities.
Along its perimeter, the square is fenced; policemen and special agents are on duty nearby. Several dozens police buses and several ambulances are deployed nearby, the "Interfax" reports.
According to one of the organizers, they expect about two thousand participants. However, as of 2:00 p.m., only organizers themselves and journalists could be seen there, the Russian BBC Service reports.
