Cherkessk: wedding cortege opens fire at trolleybus, injuring a woman
In Cherkessk, the capital of Karachay-Cherkessia, participants of wedding procession who arrived from Adygea for the bride, shelled a trolleybus in the city centre from traumatic firearms. One woman-passenger was injured.
"The passengers of a car from the wedding procession fired into the air from the traumatic firearms; several bullets hit a trolleybus, passing by at that moment," a source from the law enforcement agencies of Karachay-Cherkessia reported.
The incident occurred today at 5:30 Moscow time. 4 bullets hit the trolleybus. According to the source, "the bullets broke glasses, and a public transport passenger was slightly injured by glass fragments," the "Interfax" reports.
As a result, the wedding procession was stopped at the border of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR) and the Stavropol Territory. The suspects were detained, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
"After examinations, several participants of the wedding procession went to Adygea, and about 10 people in four cars, who might produce the shots, were detained and brought to law enforcement agencies of the KChR," the source reported.
