One more serviceman perished near a firing range in Astrakhan region

A soldier of statutory service perished caught under a train near “Ashuluk” firing range in Astrakhan region, Press service of the Central Military Region reported today.

At 4:30 Moscow time, October, 5, a military patrol found the conscript’s dead body on the railroad track in the neighbourhood of “Ashuluk” station. His identity was established in process of preliminary inquiry.

“According to preliminary data, the soldier tried to cross the railroad under a carriage of a standing freight train the moment when it started movement. The traumas he got turned out incompatible with life”, a representative of Press service added.

A team from the Ministry of Defense or Russia has arrived at the scene of the accident to make clear all the circumstances of the event and started work. Inquiry is in process, RIA “Novosti” reports.

There is a big firing range in Ashuluk where 12 servicemen perished during the last one and a half months.
