Central Election Committee of South Osetia stopped receiving documents from initiative campaign groups
Central Election Committee of South Osetia has stopped receiving documents from initiative campaign groups nominating candidates for presidency of the republic. All in all documents of 30 persons were submitted, seven of them have already been registered.
According to Central Election Committee, Alan Kotaev, Deputy Head of Administration of Tskhinvali, Anatoly Bibilov, head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of RSO, Dmitry Tasoev, leader of Social Democratic party, and Aivar Bestaev, surgeon of the Republican hospital, were registered on October, 4.
Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” reported that Vadim Tskhovrebov, Director of a baked goods factory, Alan Kochiev, tutor of youth sports school of weight lifting, and Vladimir Kelekshaev, ex-deputy of the parliament, currently entrepreneur, had also been registered before.
On Monday, October, 4, officials of Central Election Committee told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent that initiative campaign groups of two more entrepreneurs, Albert Jussoev and Akhsar Vaneev were the last to submit registration documents. All in all 30 persons expressed a desire to stand as presidential candidates.
However, three initiative campaign groups were denied registration of Vasily Bestaev, member of Law Chamber of RSO-Alania, Lev Gagiev, physician of the Republican hospital, and Jambolat Tedeev, Chief trainer of freestyle wrestling combined team of the Russian Federation as candidates for presidency of South Osetia, Osradio.ru reports.
According to Andzhela Tskhoverbova, member of Central Election Committee, the documents of the rest presidential aspirants are either under consideration or they have not submitted signature sheets to CEC. The signature sheets may be submitted till October, 8, 2011.
