All those detained at rally in Makhachkala released

In Dagestan, all the protesters detained at the anti-corruption rally, held in Makhachkala on October 3, have been released.

Let us remind you that on October 3 at 11 a.m., a nationwide anti-corruption rally was held next to Makhachkala Mayoralty. At the end of the event, the protesters were dispersed by law enforcers. Some of the activists were detained.

By the evening of October 4, only six were fined and released; while the remaining 22 persons were transferred to SIZO No. 1 of the capital of Dagestan, who spent the night there.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that seven out of 28 detainees were convicted on October 3 under Article 20.2 and 19.3 of the Russian Administrative Code (violation of public order and disobedience to the police) and fined by 500-1000 roubles. Others were released, because the detention term for an administrative offence shall not exceed two days; and it expired today at 2:30 p.m. Moscow time.

After release, some of the detainees expressed their intention to challenge the actions of law enforcers and protect their rights.
