Aslan Cherkesov questioned at trial on Sviridov's murder
The Moscow City Court is considering the case on the mass brawl in Kronstadt Boulevard, where the football fan Yegor Sviridov was shot dead. The chief figurant Aslan Cherkesov has evidenced to the court in the presence of the jury.
He explained that shot at Sviridov, "while fighting off from Gasparyan (a victim in the case, - note of the "Caucasian Knot") and Sviridov, who attacked him and stretched him on the hood of the car trying to hit his back and legs."
According to Cherkesov, he "doesn't know what had triggered the fight." However, after the fight he had "pain in the jaw so that he couldn't eat." He also "had blue under his eyes and pain in the nose."
The prosecutor Maria Semenenko asked him a lot of questions; while other defendants and advocates had no questions to Cherkesov.
