Flight clearance between Georgia and the Russian Federation prolonged till the end of the year
Georgian air company "Georgian Airways" and Russian company "Siberia" (S7 Airlines) got flight clearance from aviation authorities of the Russian Federation and Georgia on prolongation of direct charter flights between Moscow and Tbilisi for three months, i.e. till the end of 2011.
The previous flight clearance term on air travel between Russia and Georgia elapsed by October.
In accordance with this clearance, both companies have been conducting everyday flights in a concurrent mode, "Interfax" reports.
Meanwhile, as of today they are not the only companies conducting flights between the two countries. Since August, 24, "Ural Airlines" company has been doing en-route flights between Moscow and Kutaisi. It makes two flights a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Besides, a plain of "Ural Airlines" flies en-route Yekaterinburg - Tbilisi - Yekaterinburg at night of Thursday. Minimal costs of the flights are 155 (Moscow - Kutaisi) and 175 (Yekaterinburg - Tbilisi) euro, PIC TV channel reports.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that the Russian company "S7 Airlines" recommenced its flights from Moscow to Kutaisi since August, 6, after a three-years break. "S7 Airlines" conducted flights to Kutaisi till August, 2008, when air travel between Russia and Georgia was stopped, web-site of the company reports.
It should also be reminded that direct air travel between Batumi and Moscow was recommenced on June, 21. Flights en-route Batumi - Moscow - Batumi are conducted by Georgian air company "Airzena" (Airzena Georgian Airways) twice a week during the summer season.
