Dagestan: head of Akhvakh District cancels statement on land status change

 

Ismail Magomedsharipov, the head of the Akhvakh District, cancelled his earlier statement on transfer of agricultural lands allocated to the production cooperative "Karatinsky" to the district municipal property. The title on land plots was also cancelled.

"The district head has transferred all the documents to representatives of the Jamaat of Karata village; thus, the incident can be considered as settled," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Khalid Abdullaev, a resident of Karata, Akhvakh District.

According to the source, "due to the above Magomedsharipov's statement, the situation in the district had been very tense during several months."

The administration of the Akhvakh District has confirmed the cancellation of the statement, but refused to give any further comments.
