ICRF reports eight casualties of blast in Dagestan
According to the latest data, the explosion of a car in Dagestan killed eight persons, including an 11-year-old girl.
Earlier, it was reported about four casualties of an explosion in the Levashin District of Dagestan - three civilians and one policeman.
"The wounds caused by the blast resulted in death of one policeman and seven civilians, including an 11-year-old girl. Six other policemen were injured and hospitalized," reports the website of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
According to the website, today at 3:15 p.m. Moscow time in the road junction Kupa-Gunib of the Levashin District, an unidentified person triggered an explosive device planted in a VAZ "Zhiguli" car, at the moment, when a group of policemen from the Levashin ROVD (District Interior Division) of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The Dagestani MIA has reported that the Police Lieutenant Colonel Magomedsalam Nurov, head of one of the divisions of the Levashin ROVD, who was in command of the operative group, was among those injured. Junior Sergeant Abdulmazhid Mirzaev from the division of the patrol-post service of the local MIA for the Levashin District was killed by the blast. He cordoned off the venue trying not to let outsiders into the dangerous zone, the "Rossiiskaya Gazeta" writes.
