NAC: militants liquidated in KBR were involved in resonant terror acts
Today, the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has reported with reference to the latest data of the Investigatory Committee of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) that on September 20, in the course of the special operation, held in the Elbrus District of the KBR, two members of the armed underground, involved in several high-profile terrorist crimes, were killed.
Let us remind you that earlier the ICRF (Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation) had disseminated the information that five suspected militants were killed in the special operation in the village of Dylym, Elbrus District.
"In the evening on September 20, in the village of Dylym, power agents tried to detain suspected members of the armed underground, who rendered armed resistance," said the spokesman of the Investigatory Department for the KBR of the ICRF.
"As of the morning of September 20, two militants were killed in an armed clash; they are now identified," said the source.
He also confirmed that two policemen were lost in the clash.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the police casualties were special agents from the Perm Territory, sent to the KBR. Besides, a major of the same unit was wounded. He was hospitalized; now, his life is out of danger.
"The neutralized militants belonged to the so-called 'Elbrus subversive and terrorist grouping'. They were provisionally identified as Akhmat Katsiev and Kamil Mirzaev. One of them had been involved in several murders of law enforcers committed in the region," said the NAC's Information Centre.
