In Ingushetia, Assistant Prosecutor of Sunzha District detained on suspicion of organizing IAF

An officer of the Prosecutor's Office was detained in Ingushetia on suspicion of organizing illegal armed formation (IAF). This was reported today by the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

According to the investigators, in 2010 Ali Dobriev, Assistant Prosecutor of Sunzha District of Ingushetia, organized in the territory of the republic's Nazran District the illegal armed formation, the purpose of which was to destabilize the situation in the republic.

The investigators revealed that for committing very serious crimes by group members the suspect purchased basic firearms - two submachine guns, two Kalashnikov machine guns, a Makarov pistol and a large quantity of ammunition, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

"At present, the investigators have revealed the involvement of members of illegal armed formation to committing a series of robbery attacks with the use of these firearms in the territory of the Nazran District," the new agency reports.
