In Tbilisi, 10 families are homeless after fire

A strong fire occurred in the two-story apartment building at No. 127 in Agmashenebeli Avenue in the centre of the capital of Georgia, leaving 10 families homeless.

According to the city rescuers and fire fighters, nobody was hurt by the fire; however, about 10 families who lived in this house have lost their flats.

According to the preliminary version, faulty wiring has caused the fire. Several fire teams extinguished the fire within nearly an hour, the "GHN" reports.

Quite recently, the burnt-down house was renovated within the project "New Life of Old Tbilisi", initiated by the city Mayoralty. Now, a special commission will appraise the damage caused by the fire, the "Georgia Today" writes.
