Two schoolchildren in Rostov region perished as a result of poisoning with gas for lighters
On September, 14, two schoolchildren aged 12 and 13 in the town of Shakhti, Rostov region, perished after breathing in butane through polyethylene bags.
The teenagers' bodies were found in an unfinished shed by one of the victims' relatives.
According to preliminary data, the teenagers died as a result of asphyxiation with gas, "Interfax" reports.
"There were polyethylene bags with lighters without caps on the victims' heads", Rostov News Agency quotes Valery Chekrashev, representative of regional investigative department.
"Polyethylene paper bags, 7 lighters, 36 unused and 102 used lighters without caps found inside the bags were impounded from the scene of the accident.
An inspection is in process on the fact, web-site of Chief Directorate of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Russia in Rostov region reports.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported an emergency in Novocherkassk. On September, 13, a counter ceiling collapsed in one of the schools. A schoolgirl got brain concussion.
