In Maikop, kindergarten educator is accused of violence
In the city of Maikop, the capital of Adygea, a woman-educator of kindergarten No, 28 is accused of forcing children to sleep during the rest hour with the help of a stick. The first court session was held on September 13.
The alarm was raised by the grandmother of one of the girls, when she found bruises on the child's body.
According to the IA "NatPress", the investigation, carried out with attraction of psychologists, found that the educator hit the girl with a wooden stick used at physical exercises. She also threatened to punish other children with the same stick for disobedience during the rest hour.
A criminal case was opened on the incident against the educator under Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (child-rearing with use of violence), which assumes a fine of up to 100,000 roubles or imprisonment for up to 3 years.
"In Maikop, a kindergarten educator is for the first time accused of violence; however, every year 3-4 criminal cases are opened against parents under the above Article 156," said a source from the Maikop City Prosecutor's Office.
The first court session was chaired by Magistrate Judge T. V. Shavlinskaya, the "Yuga.ru" reports.
