A new meeting against "Olympic" resettlement passed off in Sochi
The sixth meeting of sufferers from "Olympic" resettlement was held in Sochi from 18 till 19 o'clock opposite the railway station on September, 11.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that about one hundred residents of Sochi with their children came to the meeting. The participants of the action were holding banners and posters with slogans "The Government of the Russian Federation must resign!", "Authorities jeer at the people!", "Kuban is a zone of corruption!", "Olympic law violates the Constitution!". Members of KPRF party, non-governmental organization "People's Assembly" and human rights activists came to support the demonstrators.
Speaking at the meeting organizer of the action Irina Brovkina emphasized that in spite of regular meetings, "the vertical of juridical, executive and legislative authority, i.e. "United Russia" party whose leader is Vladimir Putin, does not react to the demonstrators' demands at all". "Although it is known exactly, she continued, - that all the five resolutions have been delivered to the first persons of the country and they are well aware on anti-constitutional arbitrary rule going on in Sochi aimed at dislodging the residents from the city with the most flagrant violation of the law and rights of local residents".
According to Brovkina, she had officially invited representatives of local executive authority, Municipal Assembly and leader of the ruling party "United Russia" in Sochi, Mayor Anatoly Pahomov, to the meeting, however none of them came and none of the participants' demands was fulfilled.
About ten people spoke at the meeting. In their speeches and the resolution they first put forward a political demand: resignation of the Government of the Russian Federation and called each other not to vote for "United Russia" any more.
