Investigative Department in Kabardino-Balkaria is carrying out inspection on the information of torturing a person detained by personnel of power ministries
Investigative Department of Committee of Inquiry of the Russian Federation in Kabardino-Balkaria is investigating the information of unlawful actions of the personnel of law enforcement bodies against detained Murat Bizhev. This was reported by Senior Assistant of Head of Investigative Department of Committee of Inquiry of the Russian Federation in KBR Tatiana Nauzhokova.
Nauzhokova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Investigative Department of the town of Nalchik was carrying out a pre-investigative inspection at the moment and a procedural decision would be taken based on its results.
Attorney Elena Bairamkulova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Murat Bizhev was in custody in the investigative isolation ward of Nalchik. An inquiry on the fact of illegal storage of arms according to clause 222 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation was in process concerning him.
According to Elena Bairamkulova, she had appealed to human rights organizations, Public prosecutor and investigative bodies of the republic about beating and torturing Murat Bizhev during his detention but she still knows nothing of the results of consideration of her statements.
