In Astrakhan, Mayoralty officer suspected of bribe-taking
In Astrakhan, Head of Department for cooperation with legal entities and individuals on issues of external improvements and status of infrastructure facilities of the city administration was detained for bribe-taking.
A criminal case was initiated against detained Timur Kalinkin on the fact of taking a bribe (Part 3 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for illegal actions.
"In the course of investigation the investigators revealed that in August 2011 an entrepreneur came to the suspect asking for a permission for small-scale retail without a license provided for the case; and the enterprising officer "has given his consent" for the reward of 18,000 roubles," the information agency "Volga-Caspiy" quotes a source from the Investigatory Department of the Soviet District of Astrakhan as saying.
According to the Investigatory Department, Timur Kalinkin was detained by the police officers in his office when he was taking the first part of the agreed sum of money amounting to 4000 roubles. At present, the suspect was released on bail of 500,000 roubles, the website of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation reports.
