The gunman killed in the capital of Chechnya had formerly been kidnapped by unknown persons

Leader of one of the human rights centers working in Chechnya declared that Albert Osupov killed on August, 18, in Lenin district of Grozny together with three other supposed participants of armed underground by members of the top brass had formerly been kidnapped by unidentified personnel of power ministries.

According to him, the human rights activists have an information at their disposal that on August, 9, Osupov was kidnapped by members of unidentified power ministries.

“We have an information that one of the four supposed gunmen whose death at night of August, 18, in Lenin district of Grozny was reported by the republican authorities in reality had nothing to do with paramilitary groups and was kidnapped by members of the top brass about two weeks ago”, the “Caucasian Knot’s” interlocutor who preferred to remain anonymous said.

“Albert Osupov’s parents submitted written appeals to human rights organizations and law enforcement bodies. There are no reasons to distrust their evidence. It means that in fact the “special operation of four gunmen’s liquidation in Grozny” was a feint and a real non-judicial execution. It concerns at least Albert Osupov”, the human rights activist considers.

According to the version of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, all those killed were gunmen from the band of field commander Muslim Gakaev and were sent to Grozny to commit subversive and terrorist acts. There is no official reaction to the accusation of feint in the special operation and non-judicial execution yet.
